Born from Compassion. Built by Experience.
The Institute for Animal Health & Peptide Research began not in a lab, but on a farm filled with heartbeats.
For founder Kristina, animals have always been family — five dogs, a bird, and eventually, a herd of goats she never expected to love so deeply. Moving from a familiar world into caring for livestock was baptism by fire. She learned quickly that joy and heartbreak often live side by side in animal care.
One year, fifteen baby goats were born. Nine didn’t make it.
Others fought rattlesnake bites, infections, and the slow decline of age.
Through every struggle, Kristina saw not just pain — but potential.
She realized how limited traditional veterinary options were for chronic or complex conditions, and how deeply animals suffered because innovation hadn’t yet caught up to compassion.
As an educator and nonprofit leader who spent over a decade advocating for individuals with autism, she already understood what it meant to build systems of care where none existed. So when she discovered the promise of peptide-based therapies — safe, precise treatments transforming human medicine — she saw a new possibility: to bring that same level of healing, science, and dignity to animals.
That realization became a mission.
Kristina founded the Institute for Animal Health & Peptide Research to advance education, ethics, and access in this emerging field. Soon after, she and her collaborators launched Peptide BioWorks, Inc., the Institute’s for-profit partner — translating research into real-world peptide therapies for clinics, rescues, and pet owners worldwide.
Together, they embody a shared purpose: to ensure every animal receives the same respect, innovation, and care that humans expect for themselves.
